These Terms are an agreement between you and Vocalio. By creating an account or using the Vocalio app or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

What Vocalio is

Vocalio is an iOS app for speech practice and self-improvement. It offers paced reading, articulation, breathing and voice exercises, with a live mirror and real-time feedback where supported by your device. Practice texts, progress, practice measurements and settings are stored on your device and backed up to your account. Account data, onboarding answers and feedback you submit use cloud services as described in the Privacy Policy. The website provides product information and an optional waitlist.

Not medical or speech-therapy care

Important. Vocalio is for general speech practice and self-improvement only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not speech therapy or a substitute for care from a licensed speech-language pathologist or other qualified professional. If you have a medical or speech concern, please consult a qualified professional.

Who can use Vocalio

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, use the Vocalio app or join the waitlist. You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping access to your account secure.

Accounts, your backup and the waitlist

An account lets you access the app and keeps your practice with you: while you are signed in, your practice texts, progress, preferences, practice measurements and onboarding answers are backed up to your account and come back when you sign in on another iPhone or after reinstalling the app. Changes made offline are backed up once you are online again. Keep copies of any content you cannot afford to lose. Joining the separate website waitlist allows us to email you product updates; you can ask to be removed at any time by emailing contact@vocalio.app. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Your content

You keep ownership of texts you add to Vocalio. You confirm that you have the right to use them and that they do not violate applicable law or anyone else's rights. Custom practice texts are stored on your device and in your account's backup, only so they can be restored for you; we do not review, publish or share them. If you send feedback or a correction for a built-in text, you allow us to review and use that submission to improve Vocalio and its content. Avoid including personal or confidential information in optional notes.

Acceptable use

When using Vocalio, you agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights;
• attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app, website or their systems;
• submit the form abusively or with someone else's details, or misuse the service in any way that could harm Vocalio or others.

Our intellectual property

The Vocalio name, design, and brand belong to Vocalio and its licensors. Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute them.

Disclaimers

The app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sensor-based feedback is an estimate and may vary with the device, environment and user. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or any particular speech outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vocalio will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app or website, including loss of locally stored data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app or contact contact@vocalio.app for help. Deletion ends access to the account and removes its backup, linked onboarding answers and in-app feedback, and the app erases its data from your iPhone. Corrections you sent for built-in texts may be kept without an account link so we can improve the content. The Privacy Policy explains what stays on your device and how to request deletion of personal information in a correction.

Changes

We may update these Terms as Vocalio evolves. We will change the “last updated” date and provide appropriate notice of material changes in the app or on the site. Where required, we will ask you to accept updated Terms before continuing to use the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law, subject to applicable EU law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence and any other rights that cannot be waived by contract.
