Privacy Policy

Ultimo aggiornamento: 30 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Vocalio collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Vocalio is a speech-practice app that is still pre-launch: this website is a marketing page and a waitlist. Today the only personal data we collect is what you give us if you join the waitlist, plus optional, anonymous analytics that run only if you accept them.

The short version

  • No account needed. The app has no sign-up or login yet. The only thing you can submit here is the waitlist form.
  • Analytics only if you opt in. Nothing is tracked until you accept the cookie banner. Even then it's anonymous, and every text field is masked, so what you type is never recorded.
  • No ads, no AI, no selling data. Vocalio shows no advertising, uses no AI or large-language-model service, and never sells or rents your personal data.
  • You're in control. You can ask us to remove your waitlist entry, and withdraw analytics consent, at any time.

Information we collect

Waitlist details. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and your answers to a few questions: which platforms you'd use Vocalio on, where you heard about us, what you'd most like to improve (you can pick several, and one option is a free-text “something else”), and an optional free-text message. We store this in a private database so we can email you when Vocalio launches and understand who is interested. Sending the form again updates your answers rather than adding a second entry.

Product analytics (only with your consent). If you opt in through the cookie banner, we use PostHog — a privacy-respecting analytics tool hosted in the EU — to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. This includes anonymized session recordings, but every text field is masked: your email, your message, and anything else you type is never captured — only layout, clicks, and navigation. Analytics stay off unless you accept, and you can withdraw consent at any time. We never use this data for advertising or sell it.

Technical data. To keep the form from being abused, our server briefly uses your IP address to limit how often it can be submitted. Your IP is not stored alongside your waitlist entry. Separately, our hosting provider processes the basic technical data needed to serve the site securely (such as your IP address in server logs).

Stored on your device. Your language choice and your cookie choice are kept in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser storage removes them.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not have accounts, passwords, or third-party sign-in — there is nothing to log into yet.
  • We do not capture the text you type — form fields are masked out of session recordings — and we do not send anything you type to any AI service.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
  • We do not show ads and do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Why we use your information

  • To run the waitlist: to email you about the launch and understand who's interested.
  • To keep the site secure: to prevent abuse of the form and protect the service.
  • To improve Vocalio: to see how the site is used — only if you accept analytics.
  • To reply to you: to answer your messages and requests.

If you are in the EEA/UK, our legal bases are your consent (joining the waitlist and, separately, analytics — both of which you can withdraw) and our legitimate interests (keeping the site secure and preventing abuse).

Who we share information with

We share personal data only with the service providers that make Vocalio work, and only as needed:

  • Supabase — our database provider. It stores the waitlist entries.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider. It serves the website and processes basic technical data (such as IP addresses in server logs).
  • PostHog — our EU-hosted analytics provider. It receives data only if you opt into analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and Vocalio. If Vocalio is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we will ensure any successor continues to honor this policy.

Where your data is processed

Vocalio is operated from Romania (EU). Your data is processed by the providers above, whose infrastructure may be located in the EU or other countries. Where data leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your waitlist entry until Vocalio launches and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to remove it. To be removed, email us at contact@vocalio.app from the address you signed up with. Data stored only on your device is removed when you clear your browser storage.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Romania, the ANSPDCP).

Children

Vocalio is not intended for children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Vocalio evolves — for example, when accounts and the app itself launch. We'll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice on the site.
